Anti-Aging Skincare Products-What to Look For and Buy?

A young, beautiful and clean face is the dream of every woman. Using the right kind of products, in the right order, suitable for your skin type can go a long way into preserving the youthful look. However, genetics, lifestyle, and pollution play a great role in the way our skin and face look. The lack of sleep, hydrations, busy life and not enough “me” time can contribute to dull and aged skin. To boost the skin with life and energy, the cosmetics and skincare industry suggest using  anti-aging products. Treating the fine lines and wrinkles can be done with a simple application of day and night creams, eye creams, serums, etc.

To better understand the anti-aging products and what to look for when buying them, here are some important things that you should know.

The ingredients list:

These are the ingredients to look for:

Retinoids– retinoids are derivates from vitamin A that stimulate the production of collagen and help in evening the skin tone

Peptides– as an ingredient, peptides are helping in reparation of skin damage.

Antioxidants– Vitamin C and E are great antioxidants that are fighting the free radicals that have a damaging effect on the cells on the skin.

Hyaluronic acid– as a hydrator, it boosts and locks in the moisture that helps in reducing the irritating effects of some anti-aging ingredients.

Exfoliating and Moisturizing. Just what aging skin needs.

Know your skin type and buy products accordingly

Oily skin– women with oily skin should look for an anti-aging cream that is lightweight and has mattifying properties. That will prevent it from looking washed down and shiny.

Dry skin– contrary to lightweight creams, women with dry skin should look for rich and heavier creams that will make up for all things their skin lacks.

I recently tried these products by Sanre Ogranics.  I loved that they were good for all skin types.

Sensitivity is an important factor

The sensitive and easily irritated skin is best to be treated with an anti-aging cream that contains bakuchiol instead of retinol. The effect is the same with the difference that bakuchiol is an anti-inflammatory agent. Other irritants that should be avoided on sensitive skin are fragrance, salicylic acid, artificial dyes, etc because they all can lead to clogging the pores and causing breakouts.

I have normal skin and here are a few of my favorites that are or have been in my rotation at one point or another.

Keeping these things in mind, you can choose your anti-aging product according to your budget. The market today offers lots of options for everyone’s wallet.  Always remember to apply and store the products according to the directions.  You will be well on your way to a great anti-aging skincare process.
